I, as most of us males, remember things the best when I can associate them with something (stupid), or when it's in a certain shape. That's why there are cheat sheets like:

    TC+/- V=MC+/-D=C(+/-WCA)
    True Course+/-Variation=Magnetic Course+/-Deviation=Compass Heading(+/- Wind Correction Angle)

    to remember I use:
    TC +/- V = MC+/- D = C (+/-WCA)
    True Virgins Make Dull Company

Anyone any cheat sheets for others to use?

For everyone flying in high altitude like me (Denver), especially helicopter, I recommend the following one:
    The 5 H's:
    Hot
    Humid
    Heavy
    High
    Hurts

    :O)

True virgins make dull company at weddings. The "at weddings," reminds you to "add west" when you are working in that direction. If you're going in the other direction, (right to left) then you add east.

By the way, you can go the other way by making it, "Can dead men vote twice at elections." Then it would be C = Compass, D = deviation, M = magnetic compass, V = variation, T = true, add east.

I've been using this for a long time now.
