Hey all. I got the parts in and tried to change the o2 censor. There is something blocking the censor that wont allow me to unscrew it. I have attached a pic. Any ideas? Thanks again.

You need to loosen the CAT bolts and rotate the CAT to get the clearance you need :)

Could you get a wrench on it at all?

You could try the wrench that John showed earlier in the thread.

If you can get a wrench on it and you can't turn it, there is a good chance it is "welded" on and may require you removing the cat to get it out and possibly chasing the threads in the cat to allow a new one to be installed.

Hope that isn't the case but it happens.

I cant even get the wrench around it to see if its welded. I have to move the cat and try.

Frank, you might want to use some PB Blaster and spray the CAT nuts and the O2 sensor. Let it penetrate for a bit - makes breaking stuff free much easier :)

If you get that wrench that John showed you may not have touch the exhaust clamps. It is designed for situations where you can't get a regular wrench on it.

I would think harbor freight would have it. I got mine and an indi auto parts store. I would try that first.

Were you able to get it off and replace the sensor? If so, has the issue resolved itself?

I think mine is starting to show signs....

It was the censor. I had to have it serviced. There was an obstruction preventing me from doing it.
