Hey guys I wanted to get your opinion. I just took delivery of my 98 355 w/ fresh 30k service from Wade Nunez (Auto Corsa) and addditionally he installed Hyper-Flow cats from Nick @ Forza. When I received the car I had a Check engine light on (code P1448) and my "slow down" light has been coming on and off.
Wade has been helpful and I have determined that the code is "Catalyst flap bypass circuit" not sure why I'm receiving this? I hope Nick can chime in as he too per emails is a bit puzzled.
I just wanted to seek further input if anyone is aware why this would be happening and what to do.

*One further note the "slow down" light seems to come on when the engine heats up and is exercised.

    Thanks,
    Stephen

Chances are the thermocoupler that is on the muffler is the problem, possibly damaged. It is located on the top of the muffler where the by-pass valve is on the 5.2 355 cars. (see picture below). The Hyper-Flows will in no way effect the check engine lights.

You have a relatively new 355 with a "fresh" major service flashing check engine and slow down lights. What does Wade Nunez say about these problems? Were these lights a problem after hyperflow installation and prior to delivery of the car?
