I have a '99 360. Just had a service completed and new clutch. The minute I got the car back the "check engine" light came on??? Any ideas from anyone? Seems odd that the light would come on right after a service....

Anyone ever have a similar problem? Had a 348 and the lights would go on and off light like christmas tree lights.

    Thanks

I would recomend getting an OBD II checker and then you read the code/s and reset the light to see if it stays off. You can drive the car with the tester hooked up to see if there any pending codes. You can get the checkers from many sources. I bought mine on Ebay. Good luck. I am thinking when the clutch was changed one of the O2 sensors could have been damaged. Check to make sure all the connectors are connected. I had the same thing happen on my 355. Turned out it was a bad Cat.

Well it's water over the dam but I would have walked back in to the service manager and tell him to fix the issue that they caused. Did you contact the service guy and tell them about the problem. If not do so and take it back to have them reset the light.
