Just wanted to get the opinions of some of the experts here on a car that I am looking at. 99 spider, 29k miles, owners states that a couple of the dashlights are on; engine, shock. Radio just stopped working, top takes 2-3 tries in order to go down (states that it is probably just an alignment issue, who knows), also the gas door wont open. Sticky issues of course. Bright side, new clutch, new hyperflow cats, mechanically strong(well except for the engine light). My question, I have read a lot on here about dashlight issues and them being a short issue or wiring problem. If the shock light is coming what can that be? I know that it is better to do the due diligence, and that there is no such thing as a cheap ferrari, but just thinking what "issues" the lights signify and should these be issue that I should be running from? Thanks in advance.

You need to get a code reader, then post the numbers on here.

Thanks, just looked over the email he sent and the lights that are on are: Brake light, Airbag light, shock light, and check engine. Those seem like a lot, but could it not be a bad relay? Not trying to project that there is nothing wrong with the car, but just want to make sure that if it is a relay or such that it may not be "that" bad to fix, granted it is a ferrari. Will try to get the codes. Thanks

It could be a bad switch ....... but pulling the CEL codes should be done at minimum no matter what. Unless you are getting this for half price, I am certain there are other examples with less 'initial' problems.
