Check out a car for me?

If anyone has easy access to Sport Auto/Lamborghini Carolinas in Summerfield, NC., would you mind driving by to preview a F355B for me? PM or respond in this thread. Thanks in advance.

 

I would be happy to see if for you.... but quite frankly, Sport Auto tells it "like it is". If they tell you something about the car, you can take it to the bank in terms of accuracy and validity.

Is it the green "B" car? I know it very well. Feel free to call if you'd like to discuss.

If or when you go back by Sport Auto, would you mind picking up my Maserati brake rotors. Tom is probably tired of tripping over them. Then I can get them from you at our next dinner get together which we should discuss soon.

please tell daniel the specific areas where you have been disappointed in cars from the past...what are the critical areas of concern for you? we all have different demons.

is it wax in the cracks

rock chips...even the smallest of sand blasting

dings

mechanics

seat bolster wear

rubber trim wear

windshield pitting??????

some help would make daniel's impressions more effective for you.

 

this car is a trrific car they just put a new radiator in it. has a full tubi exahust and just put fresh tires on it. i knew the guy pretty well who used to own it he lived about a mile from me. the car is terrfic and those pictures do not do it justice. they previous owner was a great ferrari lover and took great care of it. if u need any more info contact me or like daniel said he knows the car very well aswell

 

If I drove out there do you think they would let me look around? I would be more than willing to drive the 3 hours to get there. I've NEVER seen a Lamborghini in my life, and it has been a dream. I REALLY want to ride in one, but thats not going to happen. I just want to know if they are kind enough to let a kid look around and take pictures.

you call tom jones and ask him...he will very likely say of course you can come in and he will nurture your love for the cars. these are good folks.

Steve and darell are great guys and would love for you to coem take a look. if you go in just be respectfull and they would be more than happy for you to stop by.

 

I go there all the time, and they are very friendly to all their visitors and ready to answer any questions you may have. I haven't been there in a few weeks, so I'm not sure if they have any Murcielagos in the showroom but they sure had a good selection of new and preowned Gallardos last time I was there. Hmmmm.....I may have to stop by there on my way home from work today just to see what's there!

I saw a mother bring her 2 young boys into Sport Auto once, just looking around. You could tell that the 2 boys were in complete awe. Darrell welcomed them in and thanked them for dropping by when they were leaving. Don't think they won't remember that!! I'll bet if J Leno had had a similar experience when he was a child, he'd have a stable of Italian cars! Sport Auto treats all browsers as potential buyers...very very smart.

 

I looked at the car very, very closely at the Challenge Race. Honestly, it is the nicest 355 I have seen. If it were a GTS, I would own it. Despite it being a '95, the interior is absolutely perfect, still with the original air bag cover and all center pieces. It is mechanically perfect. Regularly driven, well cared for, what more could you ask for? (I think the owner is nuts to sell it).

 

And Cameron, you would be welcome at SA. I'll be going in on Saturday, the 512 is due for an oil change. I'd be happy to take you for a spin, assuming old school is your thing...

 

I may just have to take a trip out there saturday! I can't wait. First time I will EVER see a Lamborghini, and I absolutely love the 512. Perhaps I've seen your car before. Was it in winston-salem for that run not too long ago?

 

I stopped by Sport Auto yesterday on the way home. Unfortunately they have no Murcielago out there to show you Cameron (last one was there about three weeks ago, expecting another in soon), but they do have several Gallardos you can drool over. I saw the green Ferrari. I thought I remembered seeing it in the parking lot during the Ferrari Challenge! Looks very nice and appeared to be in very good shape. Chatted a bit with Tom Jones, the mechanic. Yep, a nice bunch of guys who welcome casual browsers and car lovers.

I would also like to see you again byronn5, and your sexy lotus! I will go out there whenver J. Salmon is out there, but I have to leave 3 hours in advance I live so far to the east

Of course I would LOVE to ride in your Lotus! There is one here in washington, and evertime I ride by it I break my neck looking at it, and the hot chick that drives it!
