really nice idea , but it is just digital inkjet iron on transfers. there are many out there that do that , you can submit your own design/ pics ,and they will transfer it on tshirt.. id like to see some screen printed shirts ! they last much longer

Do you own copyrights to the artwork you are reproducing?

I have iron ons that I did that are still in good shape and are 10 years old! They are done with a heat press, and not just iron on. The problem with silkscreen for me is the cost, as I ONLY do 12 of each design EVER!! Each screen costs about $20, and some of these shirts have dozens of colors....if I used screens, I would have to charge over $50 each!

I have gotten the rights to reproduce the posters and logos, or they are eminent domain items...

Yes the old FIATstuff, the old posters, and "etceterini" artwork IS eminent domain material, and I DO have permission from Alfa Romeo to reproduce ANY of their old artwork anyway!! I actually own MANY old posters, which I had drum-scanned and digitized by a friend at Disney.

If you don't like my stuff, don't buy it!! I have sold quite a few Tshirts over the last year, especially the "etceterini" and old poster ones...

If the mods tell me I have to buy a banner or do no more commercial posts, I'll discuss it with them. There are dozens of post regarding stuff for sale in "collectables"...

I think FD woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

    He's normally a nice,easygoing, reasonable guy.

Can't explain his sudden turn to the darkside.

    Stuff looks good to me.

Cool your jets please. The mods had a discussion about this and decided to let it go. It is borderline though.

BTW: I ordered some of that "bootleg crap". Me likey!

I am sorry if I came across too strongly. I was just looking out for the rules of the board against commercial posts and I was obviously concerned about the rightful copyright owners getting their fair share. I also haven't been on the board as much lately and was on my way out the door when I posted, so I may have rushed to a snap conclusion.

We have our share of unscrupulous non-sponsoring vendors who want to "use" Fchat primarily for monetary gain. I now realize you're a longstanding member and that's not your main objective here.

I hope you understand where I was coming from.

It's cool that Dave apologized, but dretceterini is still wrong about "eminent domain." Perhaps he means public domain?

And Dave you could do the same with cafepress if you were careful with your images (and sucked up to the mods). See http://www.unc.edu/~unclng/public-d.htm for an explanation of what is in public domain

Yes, that is what I meant...in the public domain, but mostly in the public domain in Italy, not the US....in any regard, I have permisson from FIAT Auto (the car division that does not include Ferrari) to use any of their old stuff.

I have no leg to stand on regarding bootlegged gear. I remember when the best shirts at the Montreal GP were the ones sold by bootleggers. They were eventually banned from the track, and buying from them became akin to making a drug deal. But always more creative stuff.

No question about that. I remember F1 in the early eighties in Europe: Tons of little trader boutiques outside the tracks with all kinds of things. All gone today and replaced by the boring merchandise from the big corporations.

I love Indy, because still once in a while you can find some good stuff there. Like that day when I bought a real cf nose from a Champ car that crashed at Indy.
