There was one on eBay about 4-5 months ago that only had 353 miles on it and the damage was very much the same.

I watched this Enzo sell the way you see it for over $700k. The insured was paid $1.2 million. I have the damage estimate and will post it later for those who are curios.

Thats interesting b/c if your figures are accurate, this poor buyer cldve bought a non damaged car for just abt the same money. I wont even go into diminished value here.

The car was insured. The car was damaged. The insurance company either has to pay for repairs - in a timely manner - or pay the owner what the car is worth. Since there is a huge problem getting parts for a Enzo - in a timely manner - the insurance company paid the owner $1.2k and now the insurance company auctions the car to try to recoup some of thier monies. The insurance company received $700k for the damaged car. They lost $500k.

Yeah but I was looking frm the buyers perspective. He buys it as salvage for a "bargain" price of $700K, then proceeds to spend another $420K for repairs (which prob took forever due to parts availblty) and he still winds up with a salvage-titled Enzo in the end. I submit for another $100K he cldve bought a clean car to be driven immediately. Also, this salvage car will not be worth the current market price if resale is desired. Im willing to bet they're still waiting on parts to complete the repair.

I am pretty sure this car was bought to be parted out. That was going to be my plan. Somebody WILL wreck another one in the rear and guess who has parts available without delay ? The rear clip and tub have got to worth over $500k and still the drivetrain is worth that? ALSO, I am not sure that just anybody w/ a dumptruck load of money can go and purchase a Enzo everyday like a corvette. It is a very limited production car. That is why they are worth twice the original retail. The buyers -the original and the 2nd- both made a good decision. The first has made $600k and the 2nd will make probally as much if he sells one peice at a time.
