They probably sell female clothing for monkeys too !
Names, short phrases, and the like cannot, as a matter of law, be "copyrighted." Tradenames can enjoy trademark-type protection, based on actual use and registration, depending on the jurisdiction. (There is no worldwide 'law' that regulates this, but instead, the laws of each jurisdiction meet through reciprocal treaty arrangement). Bottom line- in order for there to be trademark or tradename infringement, there has to be some likelihood of confusion in the sale or offering of goods or services. Given that Jerrari's use is purely as a 'moniker' for Internet 'chat,' I seriously doubt that there is any basis to this claim. My 02.
Lakers coach Phil Jackson registered the term 'Three-peat' after the third Bulls championship, if memory serves. What a bunch of crap. And have you noticed nobody has a 'Super Bowl' party anymore ? They all say 'The Big Game party'. Damned NFL. If this Jerrari place was in Redondo Beach, I'd make it a safe bet they are not there anymore. Better call Kevin Cogan. (he's from there)
