I got a message on my 2008 430 Spider (4000 mile car) just a few days ago immediately after starting her readying "Check Tire Pressure" on the screen. After that, the check engine dummy light on the left side of the dash came on and now won't go off. I checked the tire pressure and I was only 1lb low per tire and I filled them all up to exactly 33lbs in front/36lbs in back. The "check tire pressure" light still shows up when I start the car cold even with the proper pressure. The check engine dummy stays on as well...Is there any chance that the two can be related? Can the check tire pressure trigger the check engine light?

The tire pressure sensor are very finicky in every car I have ever owned. I would try turning off the main battery switch for a few minutes this will reset the sensors and the dummy lights should go off. Then take it for a little drive if the lights come back on take it to the mechanic and hook it up to see what codes show.

Your sensors on the TPMS are probably timed out so even trying to recalibrate won't help - fairly sure the other light is not connected so it needs proper analysis
