Over my 10 years of ownership of my 1988 3.2 cabriolet, 95% of the time, the very few problems that I've had with the car have been traced to a bad relay or burnt connection on the relay/ fuse board.
This has happened when I had cold start problems, I replaced the cold start relay, when I had headlight problems. I replaced the headlight relays, in each case everything came back 100%.
About a week ago my dash lights went out. After looking at the wiring diagrams and having some discussions with Afterburner, I did a few tests and the realized that the easiest thing to do was replace the "K" relay, I did so and now my dash lights work again.
I don't know why i'm surprised. It's always something like this. This car has been very trouble-free except for a few minor electrical gremlins along the way.
And I do have an upgraded GT parts fuse /relay board.
Many thanks to Afterburner for his assistance. He is a great resource to this community!

Hi Alden! Can you send a link to the exact relays you use? I replaced mine with some OEMs but they suck. I still have all the working originals too.

Maybe something to do with the climate of your place Florida. I still have the OEM metal Bosch relays from 1982 and have no issues so far....touching wood !!
Also the metal relays make it possible to put a alu sheet against them so heat is spread over all the relais even those that are not working.

All the Bosch relay numbers are shown in Afterburner's drawing above, they are available on ebay, the brown ones are now only available in black generally. The large black Sipea relay for the windshield wipers is difficult to find, but generally OK to reuse.
Replace the fuses and look for burns on the connectors, usually on the fuel pump circuits on the W connector and the condenser fan on one of the connectors on the left.
You can replace the bad connectors of 3/16 inch gold plated female ends.
I also recommend you get an upgraded fuse board from either GT parts or Guido.

Guido, I think it has more to do with your own upgraded fuse board, and the fact that you're board nstallation replaces all of the female connectors on the board, something like 70 or so of them. I think this takes a lot of stress off of the relays. I'm in inland Florida without a lot of salt air so don't get really any corrosion here. The GT parts board that I inherited from the previous owner uses all the original female connectors and white connectors on the board, I've replaced the problematic ones with the gold-plated females.
I run my fuse board with the cover off since it's a sealed compartment, a while back I also built a computer fan into an old fuse board cover to help cool the relays but found that that wasn't necessary. It was thermostatically controlled. Pretty cool.

Here is the relay list for my 3.2, I think ours are all the same except the "T" which deletes the one on the top right, also, the Mondial T has more relays in the trunk. i have the info on the additional T relays somewhere, when I find it, I will post it.

Not sure where I got this info, probably a post from long ago.

Additional instructions for Mondial T relays in trunk area:

There are four relays in the trunk; all are Bosch 0332014139 (12V, 30A). This part number appears to be difficult or impossible to now find. However, the relay is clearly a standard type of relay. I used Bosch 0332019150 as a replacement, and the engine works fine with these. There are also six 7.5 amp fuses (standard blade type) in the trunk.
The 0332019150 has a tab for mounting the relay in the trunk.

The two relays for opening engine bonnet and trunk bonnet are actually in plain view near to the other relays. Here is a picture of the three relays for bank 1-4. The two fuses (dark orange color) are also visible. The bonnet relay is the one on the far right.
There are also three 7.5 amp blade fuses on each side in the trunk. So there are a total of six 7.5 amp fuses in the Mondial t trunk.

To replace these relays you have to unscrew them from the bulkhead, remove the connector, install the new relay and screw the new relay to the bulkhead.

You may have to search to find all the relays (4) and fuses (6), locations are not always the same in every car and locations where also changed several times during the production of the Mondial T.
