    I say this often:

Whoever invented cheesecake sits on the right hand of God. What he's doing is anybody's guess. After all, he's God. Then there's also the inventor of Pecan pie...

You told me the person who invented fudge sits at the right hand of God, now its Mr. Cheescake?

Cheesecake is the best damn cake ever. People think it's odd that I request it for my birthdays. They expect me to get some crazy cake but I ask for a plain cheesecake. Sometimes simple works.

I used to eat cheesecake until my cholesterol (and blood pressure) got too high. I think a decent size piece uses up your entire saturated fat recommendation for an entire day.

The most fattening food I think I've ever had was the fettuccine Alfredo at the now-defunct Alfredo's of Rome (yes, a branch of the restaurant that invented the dish) at the Citicorp Center in NYC. At least 200% better (and undoubtedly more fattening) than any other version of the dish I've ever had. (But I guess it should be, since they invented it!) And their lasagna was nearly as sinful. Truly, "heart attack on a plate" but oh so good!

(My apologies if I'm making anyone hungry!)

    Dang!
I saw the thread titled 'Cheesecake', and thought it was something else.
    But, now that I'm here...
Cheesecake, pecan pie, yellow cake, strawberry shortcake, German chocolate, etc.

Yes, fudge hangs out with the wax-approved Cheesecake - the way I figure it, there's one dessert for each right-handed Godly digit (note the ... on the tail end "of Pecan pie...") - but Cheesecake gets the first paragraph (which follows this one) at the very least, unless religious nutcases are around, in which case the first sentence usually suffices, making them question their faith on the way home from the potlatch.

Whoever invented cheesecake sits on the right hand of God. What he's doing is anybody's guess. After all, he's God.

Then there's also the inventor of Pecan Pie...

Then there's also the inventor of Macadamia Nut anything...

Then there's also the inventor of Tiramisu...

Then there's also the inventor of Fudge...
