    This is a problem Chevy has. On the Vette forum people were speculating BEFORE the C7 went into production when the discounts from MSRP would start.

    Some said IMMEDIATELY. Some got 2-3K off right away. So, people wait out Vettes for discounts upon discounts upon discounts. They've been trained.

    Herein lies the real reason Chevy hasn’t yet announced the mid-engine C8 yet. Hoping to sell a few more C7’s.

    As I understand it, dealerships are encouraged to get a certain number of C7's so they will be in the line for special editions and the mid-engine C8. So Chevrolet did this to themselves - or their dealerships, however you want to look at it - and now there will indeed be some big discounts. Good for car guys, but kind of stinky for the dealers, IMO.

    You'll have to look into that for yourself, because I'm not shopping for a Corvette, I'm shopping for a 612 or an FF. But given supply and demand, there should be some.

    They make it sound like its a lot, but its only 5% of total production.

    This reminds me of 15+ years ago when i was selling my collectibles into brick and mortar stores and would read comments online from people saying 'well I guess these arent selling'

    What those (ignorant) people didnt realize is we had sold a TON of product already and what was left hanging on the discount shelves was unimportant. We had all already made our profit and just wanted to get rid of the rest.

    People are not very good at seeing/thinking outside their own perspective.
