    Fuelfed Coffee & Classics Winnetka Featuring Ferrari and Hosting the FCA Sunday September 29, 2024
    A congratulations to our local Fuelfed chapter for organizing this very sucessfull gathering of fine european autos in this charming north shore village. Lots of time to socialize and share thoughts with others. Fuelfed ensured many of Winnetka's finest on patrol for this growing event.
    I heard reports of 250+ cars attended filling the entire village square.

    So far, my favorite shot of the summer that I took, at the FCA nationals. I love this black Monza! Looks almost like the Cavallino cover shot from a few years ago.

    Something special about black Ferrari's, as long as they are clean :)

    Did anyone go to the C and C at the Exchange in Highland Park this morning?
    I went but spaced out and neglected to bring my phone.
    Huge turn out on a lovely day.
    For F cars there as an 812 GTS and a Monza SP? (big crowd around it).
    Amazing P car scene, GT3 cars in pick your color.
    No 918 or GT2-RS or 911R spotted though.
    Someone brought an excellent looking vintage Alpine

    By the 8 AM start time all the good spots were long gone.
    I was out in the boonies of their complex and only had one group come by to chat about the LC500.
    I did meet a super nice guy with a late model 911 (RWD) with a very discreet spec, grey on black with black wheels and calipers who was a long time P car guy.
    He had moved to a PDK car due to health reasons.
    The place was so packed the line for coffee was like 30+ folks.
    Another interesting car was a New Ford GT in a light silvery green, with white stripes unusual choice that worked well on it

    I think this month is, but they also have a modern sportscar parking area by the entrance but get there early as it fills up fast.

    There was also a nice c and c organized by the Chicago Car Collective (a place like Collector's Car Garage or whatever they call it this week) held in the West Loop.
    Really good turn out, and conversations.
    Lovely dark green 296, also a black FF.

    Today's theme was Era Appropriate Attire and many showed up to include Halloween decor. This was my first year for this event and this theme added to the fun factor. Yours truely has an 80's Ferrari, so I sported an 80's keyboard leather tie that I couldn't part with all these years. Two ladies showed up in a Cobra. One had a Matlida (snakes) head piece on. Lots of Ferrari's and Lambo's present both newer and classic. This was an excellent fall day show in downtown Winnetka which is always an excellent venue.
