I did a ton of research on lifts, before getting one installed yesterday. My search results found two types of lifts, affordable Chinese lifts, super high quality - expensive american made lifts.

Given that I will use my lift primarily for storage of light weight sportscars, I decided to go with an affordable Chinese lift. I am telling you, almost all of the Chinese lifts are the same. So i went with a local guy (I think they are in Schaumburg - I just ordered over the phone), www.rhilifts.com - and it was only $2495, all-in with delivery, tax and install.

I am not affiliated with RHI, just thought that including install, tax and delivery it was a great deal. They were even willing to install in my tight parking garage in the city.

    Cheers

There are many choices for garage lifts. In my case, I did not want columns in the center of the garage. The single post lift made by Bend-Pak fit the bill. It gave me the most usable space in the garage and kept the center clear.

Your 1 post lift looks very nice. For me, a 4 post actually works better, because I want to be able to move it myself (it has a caster set). I have a 4 car garage, but if I am working on a big project (probably once a year.... most of the time will just be storage....) I want the ability to move it over into the middle of two spots.
