We have the king of 1:18 scale in Tifosi12. His collection is so large I think I heard an urban legend of a European accented man scaring children away by throwing 288 GTOs at them ala the Cat Lady in the Simpsons...

However, does anyone else in Chicago land have any or take pride in some? A 308 in matching colors? A copy of the cars you own? Does Rick have a Daytona Spyder? Frank, Sean or Bill a TR to keep them motivated? Does Bill365 prefer motorbike models or collecting parts, not toys?

I just got my latest batch much to the confusion of the wife. Including other makes I have 50 floating around the unfinished office that range from $200+ F1 cars to a 15 buck SLR. Im just curious if anyone else in this crew has any as well or prefers to nab lit, ( like Rick, ) or multiple theme goods like Vince and Carla.

I think it would be good to compare notes, surprise each other, and maybe get some fun ideas on how to organize it?

PS: Part of my collection is a broken wheel from the 575 which I currently use to hide computer wires.

Might have been from this pile...
    :)

Why am I having the feeling to be excluded from this thread and not supposed to chime in?

Anyway, here it goes: I actually have customized 1/18 models of my cars to represent the ones in full scale. Dave has a model of his boxer and Bob C. has a bunch of beautiful models, also in bigger scale. And Frank has them in all kinds of scales, so does Frank Jr.

Excluded? You might be the only one who chimes in anyway. Thought I'd give it a try as what is in the office, trophy room, some sort of display case might be just as neat as what is in the garage. Definitely the case for the younger hopefuls and has beens like RocketBoy! I still admire the MS champ season overalls that adorn the LFSC showroom much more than, lets say a neglected white TR parked off in the corner that I wouldn't want anyway. Im too tall and know that particular car has been sitting for over two years. Besides, Shuey is living history. Anyway...

What is up with that Yellow F40 in the corner, where is the wing to the 333 SP, you have no regrets destroying a yellow Barchetta? My Lord Andreas, how many spare cars do you buy just to use the parts for?

    RocketBoy

PS: Just based on this and previous converations, Im inviting myself over to see the midget collection. Just added to mine: Maser MC12, 333 SP, 250 Cali, and Showcase Enzo.

I know it is a tad frivolous, but I buy them while they're around and cheap. Try finding a 333SP today. The F40 spider was the first attempt at making that model, but I screwed the paint job, so had to start all over again. From the Barchetta I needed the engine for another project.

Yes, I believe that Frankie and I have over 20 of the 1:18 scale Ferrari's, and a few others.

But I have a very vast array of the little 1:64 Hotwheels Ferrari's. Alot of each model in many colors.

I'll try to take a picture and post sometime. But, I do have 2 Red/Tan 308GTSi with the Targ Top off. Then, I have several 308GTB's in Black, Bronze, Silver, Red, and Blue (with the 04 on the sides)

And we have quitre a few, mostly Testarossa's, that have yellow FERRARI Decals across the Hoods. These are all still in wrapper.

Plus many Daytona's, P4's, all sorts of them. In all sorts of colors.

Yes I have a decent size collection of various sizes and types of cars, even a Daytona Spyder replicar model. Lots of Ferraris but definately not limited to them. Andreas is suppose to stop by the house prior to the slot car race so he'll be checking out some of my collection.

My son has Hundreds of the little 1:64 Hotwheels. I just collect the Ferrari's out of them. I was just looking through and saw both Red and Yellow Daytona's. A Black,Yellow and Red F50. Red, White and Blue F40's (most are still in packages). A Red/Tan 355 Spider. All kinds.

I'd love to see that one. Matching colors, wheels, trim to your car, did you do the work yourself on the little scale as well?

Sorry no. That's my storage area for when I need a particular part to mod another car.
