    Just wondering if any Chicago Mondial owners would be willing to give me an orientation about the car. I am planning on buying a 3.2 cab or T cab and have never driven a Mondial or driven in one. I am hoping that someone in my area (Naperville) might be kind enough to meet with me on a weekend to show me the finer points of the car. I can also travel a reasonable distance to get together. I am a 25 year Porsche owner but I've got the Ferrari bug.

    Great choice on the Mondial. You will be very happy with it.

    Lets see... Your in Aurora? If you cant find a West suburbs car to look at, you can always run down to Peoria & view my car. In fact, I am holding an event at my shop this Saturday (Porsche club event). I am always open to showing off the Mondial T.

    Ron, Welcome to FChat and to Ferrari! I'm glad that you have decided to check out (and into) a Ferrari. And then, make sure that you join us on Drives and Events.

    Well, I own a 308. But I have driven a couple Mondials-Coupe and Cab. I really like them, and have often struggled with the idea of buying one or a Testarossa, someday, when I have the space to put it. But, that 4 seater is really much more practical, if you have more than 1 kid, like I do. They are alot more roomy in the Drivers position than a 308, too. And the power band is the same as a 308/328. Good handling car, too.

    Dave B. here on FChat once owned one. He could probably tell you alot about the car. As far as anyone here owning one that you could check out, I am not sure about that. Fox Valley Motors in West Chicago had a nice Red/Tan Cabriolet for quite awhile that was once owned by Goldie Hawn. But, I believe that it has since been sold. But you can check with them periodically to see if they get one in.

    I've got a Mondial 8 but it's basically the same setup. I'm sure you are aware of the differences of the variations of Mondial. I'd love to show it to you as soon as I get it back. Unfortunately, I don't think that will be for quite some time. Hope for the best...Anyway, if you have any questions you know where I am.

    Thanks to everyone for the warm welcomes. I really appreciate your help and offers to show me your cars. I'll contact you offline if I'd like to set something up.
    Regarding the Goldie Hawn car at Fox Valley, I went to see that car and
    a. it didn't start (had to be jumped) and then
    b. it didn't run right and the salesman advised that I don't drive it.

    If it has been sold, I hope they sorted it out for the new owner.
