Excellent. Heard these are good events. Hope to meet some of you guys at one (unlikely this weekend). Now, which car to bring .......big decisions
Rise & Drive events will now be hosted at the Collectors Car Garage. First one will be Sunday May 1st. I will update more as I get the rest lined up.
Great news....I was wondering if you would stay at the old parking lot this year, since "Friends of the Parking lot" are delaying Lucas construction. Any news on the McLaren event still being held this year???
Will the show be held in the smaller lot in front of CCG, or in the big lot on the other side of the fence?
Certain cars will be showcased indoors. I am working to get special cars lined up for each show. We will be using the front lot as overflow and the back lot next to our space as the main area. No news on the McLaren Event Image Unavailable, Please Login
A static display of special cars would be great. Maybe like the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum monthly display of classic cars?
Lol! Either way I'm excited! I told my friend about CCG and he reached out to the Rise & Drive and said that you guys might have a venue. So glad that Rise & Drive is happening this year. Also, just wondering, does CCG Chicago have it's own specific social media pages?

This Sunday is the Rise And Drive event(rare McLaren surprise to be on display). Also listed are the Fuelfed June events. You will enjoy them all as we have a lot of interesting cars near Chicago. June Fuelfed events: 3-4: Fuelfed MotorGearo 250 Rally. This is a vintage European small displacement endurance rally through some of Wisconsin’s most majestic and challenging roads. 20 classic European cars (3-liter & under) and 20 classic historic European motorcycles (1000cc & under prior 1978). No tickets available. 12: 8:00am to 11:00am. The Fuelfed OPEN gathering, Lake Forest, IL. The Open is for all Fuelfed member cars. Classic, modern and yes, American. For those who love classics, but currently drive something more modern, yet want to mingle with the E-Types, 356s & Dinos this is your gathering. 19: 9:00am to 11:00am. Fuelfed Coffee & Classics Barrington. Barrington, IL in the Foundry parking lot. 26: 9:00am to 11:00am. Fuelfed Coffee & Classics. Winnetka, IL The Vincent Owners Club (VOC) will be joining us. They will have special reserved parking for their Black Shadows & Rapides.
Here is a chart showing what that means: And a link to the membership levels...They mainly gear towards older classic cars but some events invite all allowed types no matter what the age. These events used to be open to all but insurance and space requirements made them change how they did it a few years ago. People do bring "special" American Muscle cars to this event. Anything really rare and oddball I think they allow. https://fuelfed.wordpress.com/2015-fuelfed-membership/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
A few photos from today at the Rise And Drive event..............This is a second Miura SV in the same color as the one seen last year at LFSC..This one has US side lights and the other Euro side lamps. Coming up at the end of this month...Some great cars at Road America. I don't really love the "new" Indy cars but the Pirelli World Challenge is great with some very nice sports cars. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Given his win at Indy and history in F1, it might be cool to go and try to meet Alexander Rossi (even if not an Indy fan, which I'm also not really). +1 on PWC. Good fun to watch and cool cars for sure.
