Any word on the Oak Street event? Will it happen this year?
FCA has sent the applications for members to display cars about couple weeks ago so it looks like it will happen.
I applied for Oak Street and last I heard they were going to review and respond to applicants (May 19th)
This Sunday: June 12: 8:00am to 11:00am. The Fuelfed OPEN gathering, Lake Forest, IL. The Open is for all Fuelfed member cars. Classic, modern and yes, American. For those who love classics, but currently drive something more modern, yet want to mingle with the E-Types, 356s & Dinos this is your gathering. Weather is supposed to be in the upper 70's on Sunday after the heat wave....
Not sure if most of you know the history behind the cars pictured from the Rise And Drive event, they are not body kit cars. The black car is a Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution 2. The German car was designed with the intention of taking part in the German Touring Car Championship (DTM). With 502 copies made. The white BMW is a rare 3.0 CSL and the Ford is a rare RS200. They all were street versions of race cars built in limited numbers to homologate them for European FIA, DTM and rally racing. The RS200 is a crazy Group A homologated rally car that was banned as no driver could handle any of them safely in the dirt. Same class as the Lancia Delta S4. Image Unavailable, Please Login
To clearify, for the Fuelfed events, do I have to be a member or can I just participate? 80% of the stuff I'm not interested in or able to make..
Tommy - I thought the rs200 was group b, along with the 288 gto and the 959? As you note, these are sne rare cars. Nice pics and post.

They have a school up there that helps make really nice replicas. That one was based on a Ferrari 250 GT chassis and motor. They had really good 427 Cobra and 250 GTO replicas on display. I think they worked with Motion Productions with the bodies. Indy car practice fasted lap was 1.43.0224-seconds/140.265 mph.
