Here is a list of some of the Ferrari's that will be on display next week at the Milwaukee Concours d'Elegance.............I guess the Alfa 8C counts as it was rebuilt and upgraded by SF back in 1933 with a 2.6 engine.

Here is a photo of several of the Ferrari's that will be at Milwaukee this weekend.

Also a 1965 Ford GT40 Roadster - It is 1 of 4 roadsters and wears chassis number 109. It raced at the famed 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1965.

Also already posted but I will remind everyone on this thread, the LFSC Annual Concours d' Elegance on Sunday October 2nd....Always a first class event with many very nice modern and classic sportscars.

It comes right after the September Fuel Fed Ferrari event in Winnetka on September 25th.

A lot of great Ferrari's and a really nice 2.3/2.6 Alfa at Milwaukee and a 1965 GT40 that has been restored to a highly accurate as raced in 1965 form. Also some Geneva photo's, with a very nice display of Shelby's...To many events for one weekend!!! The comp 427 was really great to see.

Also a photo of the military museum on the Illinois border. Looks like they picked up a few more airplanes for display. They were putting the A7 Corsair II back together when I took the photo today.

Would it be worth it to go to rise and drive in the morning and then the lake forest concours?

A lot of great cars today....Joe Bortz brought a Ghia Chrysler Hemi one of 2 showcar, with this one being the only one remaining. 4 330GTC's in 4 colors and several rows of Ferrari's. Some rare stuff indeed. Nice sponsorship by Continental Autosport and several others.

Next week we have 2 events, LFSC Concours and Rise And Drive....Should be another great Sunday.

Was just sent this photo however I know nothing about it. It appears to be a black MC12 in the service area at LFSC. Gets me excited for the concours.

Never seen a black one in person.

Here is a link to what has to be the best collection of show cars in the Chicago area. He is the owner of the Chrysler Hemi 1955 show car that was at the Fuelfed event last Sunday.

Some Rise And Drive + LFSC Concours photos....What a huge turnout of cars and people at LFSC!! I hope we are not over doing it as the Lake Bluff Police were really watching this time. The very big crowds might not be welcome by the local non car loving NIMBYS.

The 206 alloy Dino and Lancia 037 were very rare and nice to see. To many amazing cars to list, although the vintage stuff I think got scared away by the early rain??

Nice shots! Another great turnout and event despite the rainy weather.
I was leaving around 12:30 and that's when the Spyker was pulling in.

Its a Group B car not Group A. :) Group B was banned due to spectator safety and the drivers appealed to FISA. If you are interested i wrote an article here on the reasons why group B came to an end https://www.carthrottle.com/post/wodk7lo/ Plenty of drivers could handle the RS200, Ford had 1984 champion Stig Blomqvist, Kalle Grundel, and a couple of other part time drivers.
