Did LFSC put an email out to those on their list for this unveiling, or was this more of a private event for prospective buyers? Just wondering since I didn't get an email about it this time around. Thanks!

    .

i was told that the friday food and drink event had a max capacity of 400 people and of the people that attended who i knew, i would say some of them are definately prospective buyers.

although the car left for NY and there won't be any production cars until next summer, you might want to get on the McLaren mailing list at LFSC.

the car and rolling chassis were available for inspection at LFSC on saturday 9-5. it was pretty much a low key, open house. there were maybe 10 people at noonish.

it was on the LFSC facebook as well.

the car looks better in person than it does in photos.

it is my expectation that McLaren will push the technological envelope and it looks like they are.

It was an extremely well-done event at a perfect venue for that sort of thing. But it was pretty clear to me that the number of prospective buyers was dwarfed by the number of twenty-somethings in very short dresses. :)

It was a well done event. It was the second time seeing the car and I'm more impressed with it the second time around. There were no complaints on the short dresses :)

Btw the ABC 7 video can be found here:

Thanks JR. for the info on the email. I'm on the LFSC email list and unfortunately i didnt hear about this event.

I'm with you Raul, definitely can't make up my mind about this car. Granted it is doesn't have the curves and beauty of it's predecessor, but it must be a technological marvel nevertheless.

It does remind me a lot of a Tesla, and the logo does beg the question "is that the best they could come up with?". Then again these are technicalities and in the end what will matter are the numbers we'll see on the road and on the track.

I think the logo with the name works. The logo by itself...I keep hearing Leonard Nimoy every time I look at it...

I read somewhere, that this car will not have a locking rear diff. Can someone confirm? It would be a travesty for this type of car but....

    TIA
