You related to Webby at all? If you start your conversations with, " This one time, at band camp, " I suggest you talk to HuskerBill. But Tifosi is correct, just make sure that the local FOC crew is aware of your arrival and Im sure one of the many friendly people there will accomodate you or suggest some fun places to visit.

i know this will sound like a broken record, but why does bentley gold coast get so much flack on f-chat? i find it difficult to believe that bentley would allow a dealership in it's third largest market in the united states to do the things that have been brought up on this site (sell meth and odometer fraud)

many automobile dealerships get a bad rap because the consumer purchased a used car "as is-no warranty" and gets pi$$ed when the automobile has mechanical trouble. so goes the phrase "buyer beware" . i wen't to bentley gold coast a few months ago, there was no drug dealing, no one saying "pssst... do i have a deal for you"

they have a breathtaking showroom and some very desireable automobiles for sale. so the salespeople are arrogant? they deal with millionares on a regular basis. donald trump could be called the same.

    regards,

    joseph

p.s. i own a porsche purchased thru their dealership

I can't believe it's an offical Bentley dealership either. I'll never take mine there.

They have a bad rep, as I recollect older posts, because some people have purchased cars where allegedly GC didn't have a title, there were allegations of rolling odometers back and misrepresenting cars, and they seem to get sued a heck of a lot. I don't recall anyone accusing them of selling drugs. I think the point that was made was that the salesmen and managers are slimy mob-looking types.

Hehe. Actually, they do have lots of cool cars, and I might even buy one from them someday, but my hand will be on my wallet and I'll make sure that everything is in order before they get my $$$. No trust dividend for them.

Powdered donuts and sand paper the enamal off your teeth....

They sold my brother a lemon! Odometer stops working, speedometer stops working, both struts shot into the cabin in the back(wagon), the rear window shattered one day(no reason), and It feels like you are driving a rolling wreck(which it probably was in)

It would be a little more difficult but a lot safer to just track down the owner of the consigned car that you are interested in.

    They suck!

My way of not typing a verrry long winded reply to jjmalez question, "i know this will sound like a broken record, but why does bentley gold coast get so much flack on f-chat?"

Joseph, I am sincerely happy that you are to be included in the lucky few, that have gotten away from the BGC/Luxury band of greaseballs, with a worthwhile and legal car with some money left to their name, without the joy of lengthy litigation.

If you go back to them for another round, your odds don't look so good!

that seems to be the universal conclusion of most people on this board. yikes! i guess i was smittened by their showroom and caught up in the hustle & bustle of the windy city... but i thought (and still do) think i got a fair deal on my porsche cabriolet. maybe i did get lucky. i appreciate your feedback.

    regards,

    Evan,

The FOC is a club, not a place. Its a group of fun loving, always hopeful dudes who own a few Ferraris and do anything from classy events such as shows to fun outings such as drives up to the WI border. It wont take long to figure out who is the key players and rah rah members. They are very open and if all you wish is to see a group of Italian exotics, there are few people as generous as the Chicago FOC group who would make an effort to see you be happy and impressed.

    RocketBoy

PS: I don't even belong to them, but I show no hesitation in stating that the local area I have been in the company with for their events are class act men... oh, and a few sweet women.

The two main dealers in the Chicago area are LFSC and Continental. There is no real main guy/dealer, its similar to the baseball teams like the Cubs and Sox but without the geographical ties. Similar is the Benz business in Chicago, Knauz and Motorwerks. But to be honest I have to give an edge to Motorwerks in terms of service and friendly sales staff.

I am not sure if you had time to visit either dealer how they would respond. Nothing against you but I understand how they don't want public gawkers. Im almost 30, had a Ferrari, a few Benz's now an H2 and at car dealers still get treated like dirt until I mention my name. I think my first suggestion is best and as Tifosi said, see if the fun and nice people at the FOC are doing anything and perhaps you can join them.
