DES, I know the woman you write about here. She lives in Austin, and is involved in our FCA chapter here. She doesn't just track the 355 & Porsche.....she RACES them, as they are a 355 Challenge & a top-notch Porsche 2 litre race car built by KlubSport!!!!!!!! And they are both prepared & maintained by another of our members here (and occasional FC contributor). And she is also a grandmother, IIRC. And she is also one of the nicest people I have ever met in the automotive community. I am glad you had a chance to meet her in Nawlins. Have a great Christmas, DES!!!
Sorry, married her 20 years ago.....but she drives an M3 not an Enzo...when we ran our racecars at Sears Point, Thunderhill, etc., she was a natural......great car handling skills, no fear. Why she keeps me around I'll never know.
Just had a meeting with Nissan.... They were just as shocked when the Xterra became a Chick car but quite happy about it they have sold boatloads of the little things to women Also have to say that the Sebring is A OLD chick car...;-})
Dave, yeah, her name's Dana... i guess i should've said RACES rather than TRACKS, but yeah, what you said is exactly what she does... Yeah, she IS a grandmother... EXTREMELY nice woman, i'm glad i had the pleasure of meeting her and talking to her... Her Boxer is THE MOST gorgeous Boxer i've seen, to date. i have a ton of pictures of it... i love it... Dave, i hope you and your family have a WONDERFUL holiday. Take care, buddy...
Nika No offence intended but you are not exactly the Chick I started this thread referring to. BTW what did happen to the Bumble Bee? Seems we have walked in some of the same footsteps around TO
Yeah, I wonder too... What happened to Bumble bee, after that big splash you made on here that the car didn't meet expectations and was being sold... If it was sold, What'd you get as a replacement??

Whoa wait a sec there. We have a Disco and my dad takes that thing everywhere. He doesn't baby the truck at all. We've taken that thing through stuff that no one else would follow us through. It's a great truck. If anything I'd say the Range Rover. I always see women driving it and even less being used off road.

I think all he means is that mostly women drive those two cars, and sometimes whenever a guy drives one they do so only because they use it(falsely) as a status symbol. Of course not ALL male drivers of these two cars can fit into that category. Either that or he is calling you out, lol
Was driving (er, rolling) along beside a guy in a Z4 the other day in a traffic jam, and thought seriously about asking the guy whether he was gay or something . Personally I think any convertible is a chicks car, because it puts looks and LOOK AT ME, before performance. Pete
I caught one of my neighbor driving his wife's VW Beetle back home. He looked a little embarrassed (his normal ride is a Vette).
Well, I've been driving my '87 VW cabriolet since new, and really enjoying it. When my 20'ish niece commented that it was a great "chick" car, I kind of puffed up with pride, until she explained that, no, for chicks to drive, not for picking them up, at which point I kind of shrunk back. I saw the Click & Clack web site, and they give this vehicle high marks for being either a chick or gay car. I get a lot of amusement from this, especially since a potential next daily driver (after I hit 20 years in the VW) is an Audi TT quartro roadster. So, the 328 juxtaposed against the VW is a real Jekyll & Hyde situation. Oh well, I have 3 more years before I finally choose.
