    Dear Comrades,

My car is completely unmolested by any form of after-market adornment and it is my intention for it to remain that way inperpetuity. However, I understand that it is possible to put chicks into the engine to provide even more performance. I am interested to learn where these chicks are placed and what it is that they actually do.

In days gone by one would polish the cumbustion chambers and burnish the inlet and outlet ports. Larger valves would be fitted along with stronger valve springs. In high revving engines double valve springs would be fitted thus to reduce the potential of periodicity. Different camshafts would be installed with varying degree of overlap. Bigger carburretors would also be added to the equation and often the compression ratio would be increased by the the fitment of different pistons. But now, I understand that it's all done with chicks. So where do the chicks go - anyone now, please?

    With kind regards,

I believe you a referring to "chips" as they apply towards electrontic engine management. But just in case I'm wrong then... (maybe NSFW content)

I assume you are talking about chips for the computer Mr.G? If you are indeed talking chicks then I would simply add one to the passenger seat and go for a nice ride on a very nice English road. ;)

    Dear ClassicFerrari,

I had recently placed a thread with regard to 'Having Fun In An F-40.' But the precipitation in England of recent times has precluded any such experimentation in this regard.

So it's chips then, and no chicks in the engine? However, chicken and chips is quite the thing in the fish 'n' chip shops in England.

    Dear Comrade texasmr2,

Persactly! Furthermore, the spelling on what 'divides' us is a little different in England :)

Another point for England - we are still in the lead - Woohoo :)

If you wouldn't have wasted that condom on the wastegate experiment- the twins you fathered by your last escapade wouldn't have the telltale red hair. It is chicks and not chips...

    Dear Comrade carsinsx,

For heavens sake, I really am frightfully confused now. Are you saying that the F-40 can be chicked? Other have said 'no' to this query. Some have mentioned 'chips.' You have complicated matters by a brobdingnagian degree with the 'chicks' . . . . . for a start I have no idea what the 'chip' element is or how it affects the performance. I thought it was a 'chick' in that 'chick' was an acronym for something like 'Computer Heterodyne Intelligence Checking Kilohertz.'

    Dear Comrade texasmr2,

You have again drawn yet another difference in the Anglo-American spelling. In England 'Misspelling' is spelt thus :)

Woohoo, Woohoo, Woohoo! . . . . . . Yet another point for England making a total of two this evening alone. Will the United States of America ever catch up? :)

Interestingly, it is my understanding that Johnie Walker is export only and is unavailable here in England. Perhaps someone will correct me?

    Dear Comrade texasmr2,

    Another disparity in Anglo-American spelling. . . . . In the exemplar context we in England would spell . . . . you're :)

Yet another point to England making a total of three during the passage of just one evening. Will The United States of America ever catch up . . . . . . . . . . . Seemingly not at any time soon - Woohoo, Woohoo, Woohoo! :)

Now off to bed with a happy smile :) g'night America!

    Dear Comrade texasmr2,

It's a quarter past eight o'clock in the morning in England, and yes, another point has been gained against the United States of America contingent: In England we spell perceive thus :) . . . . . . . England is on a roll and will the United States of America usurp us? Most doubtful I fear :)

All good wishes from England and where, so far, it has yet to rain (it rained overnight though).
