How about a Mid Atl Fchat dinner after the visit to RM house...We can discuss who loves breasts more--me or Lamour!!!
I'd love to help, but probably won't be able to join if it's on a saturday. However, I'm going to try to donate something. Tony
Hey awesome. Finally something right down the road from me. I don't have a Ferrari but maybe i'll stop buy with some needed items and chat with the crew.
Dave just let me know when your heading over there! I will email my mom the list, and I have no doubt she will stock up. I might have to take a truck instead of a sports car to fit all this stuff though if I let my mom get involved Erik
Philly has also chimed in. they are working on the logistics, and may want us to visit them, too. I think a giant all day Ferrari love fest that goes from Philly to Wilmington would be pretty cool. Picture a string of cars, zipping down I95 with a police presence.... er.... escort.... it might be a lot of fun. stay tuned, more to come. DM
What are you talking about, it was a perfect day...for a British car! It also proved that there are owners out there that do drive exotics in the rain.
Ronald McDonald House is here at my company recruiting volunteers today and I spoke briefly to the lady manning their booth about this idea. She said to contact Meg their manager if we haven't been in contact with her already, but she sounded excited about the idea. Said it would probably just be show as the rides idea probably wouldn't clear. I left my number and e-mail with her in case and I can direct e-mails or communications as well.
PHILLY SAID YES. they would like to plan for 1st or 2nd weekend in June. I'm supposed to talk to them 1st week of May. try to leave room in your schedules for the 1st or second Saturday in June. Let's start talking now about impediments to making it work on either of those weekends. I'd like to have 10-12 cars MAX, for this. You need to br brave souls who will come out in the rain (just in case) with your car. There will not be a rain date, and I don't want to make a promise to kids that we don't follow through on. So, who's REALLY IN?? 1st or 2nd sat in June. Dave
Are they threatening/offering to ship your ass out there?? Aren't there enough planes here for you to work on? I'll keep an eye on your 308 while you're gone!! I promise not to let Noah touch it. DM
HA! HA! Thanks for the offer of looking out for my 308 guys. I'll think about it if I go. Speaking of that, I'm not scheduled to go anytime soon, but we have a rotation, and things change. I've been to that region 6 times, and could care less to go again unless it's during the winter. The summer there is just rediculously hot. I've had enough of that. Living in a tent when it's 140 degrees out sucks.
David- I had an event in mind that I thought would work out well for the Exotic Car Show that you had proposed. On Sunday June 4, 2006 we will be hosting our 15th birthday party. We invite the community and it is a fun filled event free to attend from 12- 3. We have games, the Brandywine Traveling Zoo, hot dogs and hamburgers, birthday cake and Ronald attends as well. We usually have about 250 people attend. It is our way to thank the community for their support. I thought this might be a great time event for your group to be a part of. How does this sound? If you like it we would put you in the flyer and newsletter article that we print in our Newsletter. Please let me know and we can discuss further. Thanks, Pam Sounds like a pretty cool way for us to go. Any takers? I'd like to get ten or so of us together on this. I'll pm around to some of the guys. Dave M.
