Why buy them? Just buy a few planes and reverse engineer them...

The real trick will be how HB decides to handle its defense business, since that cannot be sold to a Chinese company. If HB decides to keep the defense business, it will be interesting to see how they firewall the Chinese engineers and management so as not to create an export violation.

It will have to be split into two entities. One that can be sold to, and managed by the Chinese. The other one squarely in American hands. Of course, the Chinese probably have already infiltrated it and run it into the ground to be able to buy it on the cheap, and will have backdoor access to everything. Plus, with the right politicians paid off, they probably will be able to control the defense portion via proxy owners.

    Just sayin'

Welcome to the Globalized Economy. It's so much more than aviation, and this has been going on progressively over the last two decades. More noticible now that China is at the table for sure...

US Government regulates aviation manufacturers to death then another government buys them from bankruptcy.

Unbelievable where we traveled from in the last 70 years. Innovators and leaders bringing flight to people all over the world to begging for help in a communist fire sale so we can still get parts for our 40 year old designs.

The people who sweat and risk their money and careers to start this company would be ashamed.

I agree. Walter and Olive Ann Beech are turning over in their graves. A sad day for a (once) great company. So long Bonanzas......
