JPM ran over something - hence the pitstop - not his fault.

Wonder if his suspension is going to hold up to the end

What the hell did MS do spinning off and getting stuck in kitty litter behind the safety car - what a way for Ferrari to end the race with one of their cars! Bet they'll be glad when the checkered flag drops on a dismal season.

Well, their constructor hopes literally went down the drain for sure with JPM retiring. At least MS keeps 3rd. Ironically, MS was the last to win with the last V8 now he can say he's the first out with the last of the V10.

KArthikeyan had a major shunt ... Did he spin off the banked corner?

Perfect timing for a Renault pitstop. Flavio must have hit a remote accident button at the opportune moment

That a good analogy. He was "drifiting" earlier in a turn.

    Egads - he's behind Rubens!!!

    Carol

They are still cleaning the track and round and round they go with the safety car, could this be a NASCAR finish under a caution (just kidding)?!?!?!

This race is as ridiculous as Suzuka was sublime

The good news is Raikkonen got ahead of Fisi. Hope he can try to beat Alonso for McLaren pride. The championship hope is dead unless Fisi hits the self-destruct button

Sato is out - he "drifted" off to the side of the track - end of his F1 career?? Wonder what will occur with the onboard showing Button passing under safety car??

Good dice between Barrichello and Webber.

Raikonnen seems to have given up - he losing time to Klien. Maybe his brakes are giving up on him

EDIT .. just as I finish posting it Barichello loses 2 spots after a lockup

Lost a few more spots with a stop to inspect those punished tires. Not a good day to end his Ferrari career on.

Renault wraps up the WCC with the win....too bad Alonso had to butcher Queen's song after he crossed the line.

Varsha's right, this race really did sum up Schumi and Ferrari's season. Just a disaster and total mess. Hopefully next year will bring them better luck and the speed to compete for the title again.

WOW...Alonso's car caught fire as he parks it. I guess that engine had just a one race and absolutely no more in it.

goodbye rubens...sad to see him end his ferrari drive outside the points...i seriously hope tyre changes during races will be brought back next season. another thing..they say they wanna eliminate spare cars? i hope the crash between albers and schumi will give them something to think about. damn glad the flag has waved in what can be classified as the worst ever season for ferrari, 0 wins the whole year, excluding that 'race' in indy. btws, can't wait for schumi and co to recharge their batteries and hope for a good season in 2006.

What a "interesting" last race. Congratulations to Renault for a great season. Let Ferrari become the Phoenix for the coming year. Drats, what am I going to do without F1 for the next several months? Guess I'll go to the Spa site now and order tickets for the race before the rate goes up 1 November!

Everyone have a great weekend (what's left of it).

It's be fun chatting with you guys!

    Ciao,
    Carol
