No affiliation, thought I'd share another interesting and lovely race 308 for sale here in the UK Image Unavailable, Please Login https://girardo.com/car/1974-ferrari-308-gt4lm/
Awesome machine, thanks for posting. One small, interesting detail. If I’m not mistaken it’s running 4 of the stock wheel bolts and the fifth looks like a stud without a lug nut. The period and present pictures show the same thing. Maybe this helps with pit stops? -David
very cool car. It unfortunately was not very competitive in 74 as it raced against the Ligier JS2, powered by the unicorn status 4 valve Maserati v6 making some 380hp at 10k rpm. Finished 8th overall which was mighty impressive for 3L
Interesting detail. Modern photo of the wheel shows that’s still in place. Image Unavailable, Please Login As an aside, I always thought it was interesting that some Ferrari race cars from this period had lug wheels and others center lock. In the case of Michelotto Group iv and B cars, all of them had lugs with the exception of 18905 which came with the same center lock wheels as installed on the GT/M cars. I gather some of it was dependent on order/use and some by regulations.
