At one time Rick Anderson had a lot of the Chinetti papers but don't know if they stayed with him after the fallout.

Someone else told me that all/most of the Chinetti papers went to someone years ago.

Then again this past summer another person said much is still with Lou.

Isn't some of that stuff tied up in litigation? I seem to remember hearing something about that.

 

There was litigation a while ago with Coco suing Anderson. Dont know the outcome.

 

Heard that Anderson is/was in jail.

Doesn't Gerald Roush have some of the Chinetti business records? He was collecting information long before it became fashionable.
There was also a huge collection of factory build sheets in another paper collection that no one wanted to buy, years ago...

Bumping this because I found a record suggesting my '53 212 Inter came into the US through Chinetti. Has there been any change in the answers to the OP's question? Thanks.

 

Last year I requested information about my car from Mr. Chinetti. He answered courteously and promptly and said that the information is embargoed in litigation.

I've noticed this thread which is quite old now, but I have a 250 Ferrari which I am trying to find out more about as it was sold by Chinetti originally and I wondered as time has moved on whether "Coco" Chinetti is able to be contacted. If anyone has any more information on how to get in touch with him I'd be delighted to hear.

 

Luigi is a charming guy but organization is not his strong suit. It could well be that he doesn't know where the records are or whether they still exist.
