CHOPARD Superfast 8523 Classic Racing Chronograph Chronometer

Entirely designed, developed, and produced in-house, the mechanical self-winding Chopard Calibre 03.05-M is a COSC-certified chronometer column-wheel chronograph with 45 jewels movement with 60 hours of power reserve.

As befitting a COSC watch, the accuracy (six-position average) is +4 sec/day with a delta of +5. The beat error is also exceptional, between 0.0 and 0.1 ms/day along the six-position.

2015 vintage. Ø 48mm (45mm for the bezel) case, 15mm thick, WR 10ATM (100m).

Rubber straps 125/90mm “Dunlop vintage racing tire thread”, 23mm wide, will fit any wrist from 7¼ and up.

The three-register black dial has a vertical tapestry background, bright luminescent dauphine indices, and an Arabic 12 and pencil hands with applied luminescence.

The watch developed a lovely patina over the years, which is accounted for in the asking price. My Watchmaker told me that because of the case's construction (eight tamper-proof bolts) and because the movement was working so well, he would recommend waiting a few years for a service (when the movement has to be taken out) to have the watch polished back to perfection.
