Heard from a Vegas source that Christian Lassen bought a new Murci, painted a new school of Mahi-Mahi on its body and plan to put it up for charity auction in Vegas soon.......

I'm assuming that he does this to draw attention to his other works and to generate a buzz? Surely he doesn't really profit by painting the Lambos and selling them (seems to detract from value most of the time). I'm definitely not an expert, so this is really more of a question than a statement. Roy, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts (if appropriate).

I don't know why Chris would keep doing this. His art has a limited market. It is esp. popular in Hawaii and Japan. Maybe he should take the car over there?

Maybe he buys the Lambos because he like to drive them but buys them through Lassen Galleries. Then paints them to be marketing tools so he can take the business write-off?

i like lambos and I like his work as well. But, somehow it just doesn't do for me when combined. Its like the monalisa and a monet painting... each looks good on its own but would looked wacked if they combined the two....

    Buy a conversion van.

    Sell it to him.

    Tell him, "Knock yourself out."

Then, look him squarely in the eye and say, "but, please, for the love of God, stop painting critters on Lamborghinis!"

To make this post accurate. Christian purchased a 2003 Black with Ivory Murcielago Coupe from our dealership here in Las Vegas (Lamborghini Las Vegas) about 3 weeks ago. I had the vehicle shipped to his studio in LA where he painted the mural. The vehicle was completed last week and is scheduled for transportation back to my dealership in Vegas this week. We are going to store the Murcie here until the re-opening of his Gallery at Caesars towards the end of this month. The vehicle will be on display for some time, and then eventually for sale. I will post pictures when the vehicle arrives here this week. -Nick

Here are photos of the car before it was sent to LA to be painted. Roy had no part in this purchase, unless he sold Christian a second car that I am not aware of. I know that Christian was in contact with several dealers trying to locate a vehicle, but this is the 2003 that he ended up purchasing. We were in direct contact with Christian through telephone conversations and his assistant Jona here at Lassen International in Las Vegas. This interior is Ivory with Alcantera inserts...a more rare interior combination to find. When the vehicle comes back I will post pictures. Match the two sets up and decide whether it is the same car or not. This is not intended to be an attack towards anybody, just the facts.
