Lit up a Don Carlos 2008 tonight. It was an amazing 85+ degree day here in the Pac Northwest. Sitting out on the deck with a drink and an amazing cigar. Lit a fire which I really didnt need, but its relaxing to me to watch a fire burn. Just had to move my chair back so I wasnt sweating. :)

Had a BBQ with friends yesterday and then sat outside and smoked a cigar with my best buddy. I had one of my favorite standby's a 1964 Padron torpedo. I always know when I'm enjoying a cigar when I wish I had a roach clip toward the end. :) Smoked it to the absolute nub!!

Oh I sure did. It's not elegant or upscale but it was very comfy with some good company. Next time I end up in San Diego I will be stopping by again.

Boy does he get around! :) I have been enjoying this amazing weather we've been having. Cooled off a bit this week but supposed to be nice again this weekend.

That looks like a nice hangout, beer and cigars? Hard to beat that.

Ya it's quite nice here in Peoria Illinois, good evening for a run.

The place had an amazing wine collection but I settle for a beer. Didn't try the food but also available so it's a place I would visit again.

Fire pit in the middle was a nice touch for heat.

Sorry no photo but if you get a chance to try a Cro Magnon 'Neanderthal,' possibly the best smoke I've ever experienced. Use a punch not cutter as the end is square boxed. The rest of the CroMagnon line is exceptional but the Neanderthal is in it's own league. Mexican wrapper, unusually uses Connecticut Shade as binder, over Nicaraguan filler.

Pro tip: Eat a meal first.

These come with a disclaimer as a super strong cigar, but I wouldn't even rate them as full. We were one of the first ten RomaCraft retailers and I think the Cromag Cranium is a stronger stick. Really great cigars though, the intemperance Connecticut is fantastic.

We got our shipment of Crowned Heads limited release Las Calaveras 2015 today.

The corona gorda is really, really good. And at $10 it's a tremendous value. Almond and roasted red pepper notes, faint spice and great construction from the My Father factory in Esteli.
All the boxes were allocated and they won't last long, if you see em at your B&M get a couple!

Lit up a nice mild one last night. I've mentioned them before but it was a Varina Farms Breakfast blend. Just a nice light smoke to enjoy on a nice quiet evening. Sat by the fire and listened to the neighborhood owl hooting off in the distance.

And am on a roll this week. Lit another fire tonight and also lit up a Fuente Flor Fina 8-5-8 Maduro. Great stick as usual. This ones been in the humidor for awhile. Had a nice oily sheen to it. Mmmmm tasty. Another prefect night for it too.

And back at it again. Some blues on the stereo, my neighborhood Barred Owl hooting in the distance, a fire, a cold beer, my little buddy Leon playing fetch, and a G.A.R. slowly burning down.

I may have to look at a larger humidifier for my ice-box-ador though. We have had really dry and toasty warm weather for this region and the Oasis XL is having trouble keeping up. This is unusual weather for us this early in the year. Supposed to cool down later this week so it should be alright though.

My God. We had our Drew Estate event in store with Jonathan Drew. Huge turnout, live music and food trucks outside. Great time!

Smoked two of the Undercrown Manifestos last night - they are killer tasty. 10.5" x 38 super lanceros in a very unique blend. Can't buy em and can only get them at an event. So worth waiting in line to shake JDs hand though!

Nice. I've only tried a couple Drews and haven't been overwhelmed. I think mainly the flavored ones though which I am not generally a fan of anyway.

I wanted a shorter smoke tonight so dug through my odds and ends and found a Pepin Cuban Classic. Just right. :)

Honestly if you haven't smoked any Liga Privada, Undercrown or Herrera Esteli you are missing out on some seriously good smokes.

Pm me your address when you get a second.

I enjoy a Kuba Kuba Maduro from Drew Estate now and then. But my go to is Chateau Fuente Robusto Maduro as my daily driver.

Had dinner with some friends Saturday night and lit up a nice Opus X after. Was a PERFECT evening out on their deck to just sit and relax.
