Room keeps all smoke smell out of house! Even passed the wife test she’s happy. But.. It is too smoky inside the room to relax and enjoy. I’ll get a big air purifier this week. For now I moved to the best room in the house: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Thank you. I tried to use existing piping but it looks like I may need 6” and mucho-cfm. It’s too cold for me to want to drill through brick so I’m going to try this until spring: https://amaircare.com/product/amaircare-3000-slate/ Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Jason, If you didn't opder that air filter yet, I would advise you to go to a little more heavy duty unit. The particulates in cigar smoke will trash that type of filter fast. (Ask me how I know) This is what I have in my room. https://www.amazon.com/IQAir-MultiGas-Purifier-Medical-Grade-HyperHEPA/dp/B00069EGA0/ref=pd_ybh_a_77?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=GAXW9QVFD5W3VVSX51Q9 Cheers, Marc
Well ****. My customer is giving me a couple I can’t say no now. School of hard knocks I just can’t take the easy road! LOL. That one you posted is the bomb!! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I'm Jewish Jason and "FREE" is my favorite four letter word. I'm sure they will work good enough, but I wouldn't buy replacement filters for them. The replacement filters were very pricey IMHO. It took me three tries to find the IQ Air. I tried the Rabbit and it was garbage. I also smoke three to five sticks a day so your mileage may vary.
Enjoying this while waiting for HVAC guy to replace a thermostat. Didn’t feel like messing with it myself. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hope it works for you! Outside only for me. Usually not too bad around here. Edit - Slow here. Replied to older post...
My exhaust fan works! The problem was I closed the door and stalled the fan. When I leave the door open a bit it works good And with this thing on it is perfect! Now to decorate. Current colors and carpet have got to go. I brought a wood shelf and garbage can from main home today to start. Man I love this car Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
You need to vent fresh air into the room, Jason. Otherwise, the air pressure will drop and your fan ain't gonna like it. Good to hear the air cleaner works? Does that one have the carbon filter along with the HEPA filter?
Yes it includes carbon stuffs. I vent air into the room by leaving the door open a bit, and a basement window cracked. There's enough exhaust venting there's negative pressure, so no smoke makes it out of the room to the rest of the house. And with the window open in the room outside that one, I won't start back-drafting and killing us all. I put some extra sensors around gas fireplaces and stuff just in case. This will work great for now and took an hour to setup quickly. v2.0 I already know what I need to do and am not prepared for that project
Heads up to all the cigars guys of FerrariChat. Check out http://www.botl.org/ it is the best place that I have ever found on the Internet to hang out with some of the best cigar folks on the planet. Really great cigar forum IMHO.
Thanks for the heads up. Saw you posted it in another thread so checked it out quickly last night and one local here already joined up. I’ll have more time tomorrow to look it over.
The crowd on BOTL is a very friendly bunch. Be sure to make a post in the "Introductions" thread after you join and mention XENU.
Getting ready for the holidays! Grabbed two top shelf ones as well. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Howdy Tamas, Do all cigars sold in Canada that are sold individually come wrapped in cellophane? Cheers, Marc
Marc, For Cubans they almost always are without wrapper. The ones I can think of are all unwrapped. Some of them will come in tubes but not all. This bundle was purchased in Boston on my last trip. I'm curious about the question - is this a US thing?
I asked because when I buy the Fuentes cigars by the box the sticks aren't wrapped and I have never had an Opux X that was wrapped by the box. The cigar companies sell the boxes either way in most brands. Some cigars are always in cello. Sorry if this was a stupid south of the border question.
Not a stupid question at all. I was just curious as to the foundation of the question. It's all knowledge at the end of the day for all of us! Now that you mention it I do not recall seeing many Opus X sticks in a wrapper.
I buy boxes from a few places in Florida and all my cigars are not for single stick sale and the cigars I buy aren't in cello. Can you get the Padron 1926 up there?
I have not seen it yet. I have seen some 1964 but the price is in the +/-$80 a stick. At that point I'll grab multiple cubans.
