Watching a blustery snowstorm, hopefully winter's last hurrah of the season, enjoying this Charter Oak with a cup of hot chocolate like some second grader home on a snow day.

These Charter Oak Rothschild maduros are becoming my go-to smoke. Well-constructed, even burn, perfect draw, they've been very consistent, plus the flavor is pretty spot on for what I like; at a tick over $100 for a box of 20, I think they're a great value. Worth trying.

I had a couple outside over the last couple weeks. Lit a fire a couple nights in a row. But spring is only spring here, too cold again. So out cleaning the garage up tonight and lit one of my all time fave ..AF Flor Fina 8-5-8 Maduro. Was good.

Was a decent day here, not too warm so did some yard and garden work then lit a bunch of hay on fire in the pit and threw some wood on it. Nice night for a smoke and a fire although at 8:40 it's cooling off.

Dug in my "other" bin and came out with a San Lotano Oval...maybe Maduro...it's awful dark. Had a really hard draw at first but it opened up and is tasty.

Not hot up here in the PNW but it was nice enough to be outside working... and now time to relax.

Dug this out of my other bin. No idea how long it's been in there....long time though.

Nother nice spring day here, 70 or so. Nother nice night for a fire and a smoke. This is becoming a habit. I've smoked more cigars this year already than I probably have in the last 3-4 years combined.

Padron tonight. For some reason this was in the humidor with the label already off and the top cut ready to go. Must have thought about lighting it one night and changed my mind.

Anyway. Didn't feel like lighting a fire and it's gonna be too cold by the time I finish a whole big cigar, so just a Short Story tonight. These are so tasty.

Late reply, but the cigar trailer lounge I posted on the previous page seems to be a pretty great idea. I talked to one of the guys working there. Pretty simple operation, could really run it with one person. They outfitted the inside with some display cabinets and chairs. Then they just set the chairs outside and rake in the dough. No idea what kind of licenses it would take.

But he said in AZ they are keeping as busy as they want going to things like Barrett Jackson where I saw them and music festivals or concerts. He said they were looking at adding food or drink since this was going well.

Probably not much help, but other than buying and refurbing an Airstream like these guys did, I'd think you could start one up fairly cheaply.

Four day weekend in Phuket with the girl after a hectic couple of months of business travel and entertaining the big bosses who’ve been back in HK to kick the tyres post-COVID. I grabbed a box of these Davidoff Churchill belicosos in HK airport outbound, a tasty little 20-25 minute smoke.
