    Hi.
Is the trim ring around the lighter supposed to illuminate? I can see the light in the socket when I remove the lighter, but that light doesn't really illuminate the trim ring. My car is an early-build 328, Nov. of '85...
    Thanks.

My '82 308 only lights up when I engage the lighter.

Beginning in 1980 with injected cars, Ferrari switched to a cigar lighter with built in illumination connected to the parking light circuit and in some cases such as the 512bbi to the ash tray light. I.e. outer ring of the cigar lighter is illuminated when the external lights are on. The 328 circuit shows the same lighter but is ambiguous about where it connects "A1 to 100". Chances are it would operate as the cars of that period did but only an owner knows for certain.

Can an early 328 owner confirm this? Thanks.
