    What is the best way to drill out the CO mixture plugs on the CIS fuel dist?

    Dear Ferraristi,

    You can use a 1mm or 1/8" Cobalt drill bit. Remove the air box and both rubber intake boots. Cover the meter plate opening with masking tape so NOTHING gets inside the meter box.

    Use a center punch and lightly tap a dimple in the center of the plug. Drill slowly with the above bit and as soon as you come through..STOP. There is a very expensive and unavailable screw underneath.

    Once you drill the hole, use a long sheet metal screw to slightly dig and grab the plug. Wiggle and pull up and "pop" out it will come.

    Those little plugs are $40.00 each from the Fpimp. But, you don't really need to put them back...the screw plugs the hole...not the cap.

    My method for removing the anti-tamper, tapered aluminum plugs on the FDs was the same as Shamile described. There is another slotted-drive threaded plug that needs to be removed before you can access the 3mm adjustment screw:
