The Cizeta V16 is back in production as a roadster. http://www.godsilpro.com/proforums/showthread.php?p=1849#post1849
To me that seems to be a waste of an engine. I mean 16 cylinders to only make 560 hp? Maybe it makes that at idle.....
I have always liked the rear of the car..It looks really mean. That engine is an engineering nighmare (or masterpiece however you want to look at it) YOu guys ever seen the cut away drawing of it? Incredable
The car was only out of production for a short while. A coupe was built in the late 90's along with the roadster which was built (started in 2002, completed 2003). Claudio has an order for another coupe (by a current Cizeta owner) and another roadster. Anyone willing to come up with the money can have one built. And improvements and options on the car have been broadened. All it takes is money.
W8 production ceased around 1993-1994. M12 production ceased in 1995, then started up again and gasped its final breath in 1999.
couldnt believe it!, went to a local ferrari dealership the other week to see a 911 gt1 they had for sale, and whilst sniffing around the back in the garage are i found this cizeta in pieces! i dont have any details about it, chassis numbers or anything like that, but i believe that it might have been one of the sultan of bruneis ex cars, as it had a ferrari engine in the back, ( i believe that he had two of his converted to ferrari engines and running gear) The guys at the dealership didnt even know what the car was, they just said it was a long term project that had been there for ages.Aswell as the ferrari engine, the top two of the four headlights had been removed and replaced with a manufactured air intake , (sorry couldnt get any shots of that) i was pretty amazed to just stumble across a cizeta, in a garage where no one seemed to realise what they had, unless they were just being coy. thought you and claudio might be interested, what do you think, is it likely to be one of the sultans cars? any info would be very interesting. Sad though to see a cizeta in such a state, you would think a car like that would be pride of place in some collectors garage, not lying unloved and forgotten, its a crime! Right i did not know cheers mate, i have seen a lot about the M12 but not much about the W8, was that the twin turbo capable of over 200mph??
Alan, have the dealership contact me - I'd be interested in possibly buying this car. I looked at buying it back in 1999, but they wanted what I felt was a rediculous price, and it's clear they're never going to finish it. This is the sister car to the one at the Marconi Museum, and is the 2nd of 3 cars delivered to the Sultan of Brunei.
Yep. This is what the Diablo was supposed to look like. Angered by Lamborghini altering his design, he allowed Cizeta to use it. Strange car.
