For what its worth, he's wrong in his assumptions about Carpet store owners, but right about people wearing way too much branded clothing......but you could say that about people going to a football match in their teams strip anybody whose ever seen 30K plus Liverpool fans will know what I'm talking about

    Nice sig,, there, andrew!!!

Well I've tally'd the total and I've STILL spent more $$$ on the two 308GTBs than hangs in the closet...but it was close...if I threw in books and diecast models, it might go the other way......

At the races this weekend some gents were ribbing me when the F430GT2 went back in the field with a cut tire, but it was good natured fun! LOL!

I say it's OK if worn CORRECTLY....;)

I feel the same way about the Boy Scout uniforms, (now a major fashion with young female teenagers, I see them in Scott's old ones.)

    "Gimme that Eagle badge, baby......"

See related thread in Texas Section on the Ferrari Art Car.......

I have a strict rule, only 1 Ferrari-related item at any time (and usually none).

The rule is lifted for F1 races :)

    LOL!

Well, you wouldn't wear FILA shoes with a Tommy Hilfiger shirt, for example!

Or the Ferrari/MOMO (IMSA sports cars) wouldn't match current F1 gear....it's simple really...

Same here. Very funny article, the Aston guys and the way-upper-end Vintage Ferrari crowd are birds of a feather.

Does Clarkson have anything good to say about any exotics?

His comments on the Ford Gt, saying the Lambo Diablo is a heavy truck etc., the only car he seemed to like was the 350hp Evo or Subie can't remember which, I think he's a ricer in reality.

Are you kidding? He hates the weak sauce over-turboed Mitsubishi Evo 400 thing. And not really into econoboxes that think they're $30k supercars.
He obviously likes the Forg GT enough to buy one, he's right about the Lambo, and he loves Ferrari's more than anything.
Gotta admit, he's good at what he does.

I think he's a loudmouth idiot, he only praises the Ford Gt because he owns one

You can't just go by his conclusions. You have to listen to the details.

His complaints about the FQ400 were pretty accurate (if somewhat overblown). The conclusion wasn't that he "hated it", but that the FQ320 gave you much of the same performance with fewer disadvantages.

Most of the TG reviews are like that: you probably won't agree with the conclusions, but the details are useful.

After all, I'm not about to go buy a Toyota pickup just because they couldn't destroy one. ;)

I have to admit I think Clarkson is hilarious and Top Gear is the most entertaining car program IMO, but entertainment is all it is.

What's the problem with car clubs? People becoming friends because of common interest is a common occurrence, what does it matter if it's over cars or not?

His comment about clothes is very funny, and in some cases, very true. I own Ferrari attire, and wear it proudly. I love the cars and support the F1 team, so I don't see a problem with it. I see people wearing all kinds of other branded clothes and don't think a prancing horse is any worse.

Here's a quote from a top gear episode comparing the 911 GT3 and CS.

I agree, i've met lots of new friends through the Foc and similar events/clubs and yes there are the one or two with Ferrari hats bags tops shoes etc..., but as someone elses aid its no different to other sponsored merchandise, you love them you help promote them and show that you're a fan

Alain Prost would be just a tad taller than the 308 :)
