Clarkson reviews the Spider

JC doesn't like the 458, period. He doesn't like the controls on the steering wheel and what he likes to refers to as the electronic nanny. When he implies (I forget exactly what he said) that the car has no soul, what he's really saying is that it is way too sterile for him. It's too technologically advanced for him.

JC seems to like cars that remind him of who's boss. A little loose, a little raw, and something that actually requires some skill to drive quickly - and definitely no 'flappy paddle gearboxes.'

As a television personality and writer, he is very clever with words and entertaining. That's a good thing.
