Hi all. I'm in Chicago with a free half day and was interested in visiting what might be regarded as the best collection of classic cars for sale. More interested in European than American. Who should I visit?

    Thx!

You have to go outside of Chicago to Continental Autosport in Hinsdale (was there on tue, they had a SWB, daytona Spider, 550 Barchetta, Laferrari and Alfa Tubolare). There are no classic cars dealers in Chicago itself. If you want to see newer stuff, go to the Bentley Gold Coast store in downtown ( 834 N Rush St, Chicago, IL 60611), they always have Lambos, Maser, one or 2 Veyrons and sometimes a few Ferraris. And they will park them outside and alternate them throughout the day.

Enjoy! If you are downtown, a drive/walk by Bentley gold coast is worth it. Modern stuff but really nice stuff and the staff is very friendly.

Continental is definitely your best bet.

    A few other smaller options

There is Northshore motor cars in Lake Bluff which has some cool old British cars. Nothing extremely rare in the inventory now though

Northshore Sportscars in Lake Bluff, Illinois

And Willow Automotive usually has some nice classics on their website. I've never been there though so I don't know how welcoming they are of visitors or whether you can see the cars

And The Last Detail in Kenilworth. Besides their inventory they have a couple cars on display in the showroom not for sale
