    Why not, used 744 are almost as cheap as a used 757, of which FedEx has bought quite a few of them (>100) for conversion to freighters.

    The picture shows the fuselage of a 747-200, no extended upper deck like the -400. No wing tip devices either and what the heck are all the antenna fins for.

    Appears it is something in between a -200 and -400. At any rate it is an artist rendering.

    Another interesting factoid about the plane and pilot.

    Question..Last 747 I flew in,Paris to Hong-Kong (Cathay),a clapped out aircraft,well past its sell - by date....How much could you buy a Qualified,fully documented ,CAA/FAA certified whale for. What is the going rate?
