The press release for this new event was held this morning. Goober supplied his 246 in the absence of any other Classic Exotica in Adelaide, an XK150 also made an appearance, as well as the tarmac rally Mustang the Minister for tourism arrived in.

The dates are September 15-18 2011, and surprisingly, to me anyway, the age of the cars is restricted to a floating 20 year or older age limit. There is no thoroughbred touring group.

    cool thank you!

Nice to see an Adelaide event back on the calendar.. I hope the new owners with some financial clout put it on a whole new level which would be great to see!

Be good to see some consistent regs across the events now too! After doing several nav stints there keen to do some driving again now.. maybe 2011 in time.. will see.

I thought goobs had hung up his "rally helmet" though? or was just donating a car for media shots?

The current owner was thinking along the same lines, and the media listened.

along those lines I had a problem witha spring breaking in the drivers door on the way home from Sadelaide and the door wouldn't close properly so it giggled all the way home and now that I have fixed the spring and door locking mechanism the door has dropped a mill or two and needs to be lifted very slightly to shut properly.

Maybe Carl or some other person has had this issue and fixed it, probably either new pins or door hinges are needed ?
