can anyone clarify which of the Testa Rossa, Berlineta boxer both 365 and 512 fitted which Classic Tyres. i am trying to get some definative answers. I have various fitment guides which seem to be at odds with each other.

I am also not 100% sure that when Ferrari changed from one model to the next they changed tyres at the same time.

any help that can be offered gratefully accepted.

365 and 512 bb were both on xwx
(365 had similar size on front and rear 215's if I recollect wheras the 512bb had 215's in front and 225's or 235's in the rear)

512 bbi on trx (bbi used the same size tire on front and rear)

I think the 365 BB fitted 215/70VR15 Michelin XWX up untill 1978. then i think in 1979 the 512 BB had the same size front and fitted 225/70VR15 Michelin XWX on the rear. i am not 100% sure about the date which i would like to claify.

Then later 512 cars get a bit confusing. My Michelin guide says that a 512 B fitted 240/55VR415 Michelin TRX and then it says the 512 BB fits 240/45ZR415 Michelin TRX GT front and 280/45VR415 Michelin TRX which i bwelieve is the same fitment as the TestaRossa.

can any body help with specific models and dates?

My 1979 512BB (30713) has 215/70s on the front, and 225/70s on the rear.

The sizes are on a sticker on the windshield (sorry for the poor picture).

I've seen the Michelin guide and it's wrong. The correct tyres and dates are as follows:

    365 GT4 BB 1973 - 1976. See Ferrari Web Site here: http://www.ferrari.com/english/gt_sport%20cars/classiche/all_models/Pages/365_GT4_BB.aspx
    Front - Michelin XWX 215/70 VR15.
    Rear - Michelin XWX 215/70 VR15.

512 BB 1976 -1981. See Ferrari Web Site here: http://www.ferrari.com/english/gt_sport%20cars/classiche/all_models/Pages/512_BB.aspx
    Front - Michelin XWX 215/70 VR 15.
    Rear - Michelin XWX 225/70 VR15.

    512BBi 1981 - 1984. See Ferrari Web Site here: http://www.ferrari.com/english/gt_sport%20cars/classiche/all_models/Pages/512_BBi.aspx
    Front - Michelin TRX 240/55 VR415.
    Rear - Michelin TRX 240/55 VR415.

There is presently a special offer on Youngtimer tires if you go through the buying on line thingy then put the term " RubberGoods " into the discount codes section of the shopping cart; it will calculate a good discount for you, before you go through to the check out.
