    Just got off the phone with Tim Stanford. New clutch is in, water pump problem gone with a good run to temp. Minor dist advance problem cured, the car is great!!! Runs strong, shifts smooth, Must say I was a little nervous as I purchased without a PPI, only a compression check, but it is an honest, straight, strong, sound BB. Thanks SteveMaman! Now what, do I drive her or restore to platinum?

    You can always restore her later, but if you restore now, you'll miss the most exciting part of the Boxer experience, because then you won't want to Drive her.

    A few Sunday afternoon drives in a carbed Boxer will more than make up for a missing ribbon or two.

    Mark, drive the car until the summer, then when you realize the A/C sucks, have the car "touched up".

    AS I SAID YESTERDAY,there was no leak when it was here...and it is gone / not leaking now...
    the clutch was the bonus the trucker left us. IT WAS MORE THAN FINE WHEN IT WAS HERE.

    i am happy that the car is now with you..enjoy it..DONT RESTORE IT.
