They are actually a separate part that is placed and held in. So they are machineed separately And the first picture is just a smooth radius in the cast aluminum.
Its interesting to see that the short runners on the post 2001 seem to be machined all the way down while the long/cross runners are not. Is this the same on the 99?
Looks great - I'd like one of those. Edit: there are RHD and LHD specific parts, so isn't possible for me.
Wow thats pretty cool give him your cs door cards have him make those and sell them. Sent from my SM-G996U1 using Tapatalk
The easiest thing to make look better. The black was completely gone from the oil cap. This works great this lacquer stick pen. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've used em for color fill for selector markings and rollmarks/etc on mine and friends' firearms for years. great lil thing, makes color-fill so easy a Marine can do it. (just get two, they tend to think they're crayons and start snackin )
Got the front bumper ready for primer. Used 3m fiberglass with there panel bond adhesive. I personally like that stuff more than traditional gel. Small coat of 3m filler . Things like this not for everyone but allways love the challenge Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well bored and had some man time in the garage. Wife has the kids in CO . I sourced a extra euro manifold and had one us header as well. I wanted to see the design. Of the collector. The us that has the precat is a 4 too 1 and the 99 or euro style is a 4to 2to 1 collector. I'm looking for 1 more euro and will do the same and have them coated. It seems most aftermarket use a 4to 1 collector. The fiberglass work is spectacular. Have you dug any deeper into the differences between early and later intakes? Also I would be interested if you found some challenge headers and verify if they are different or identical to the euro headers.
That would be great to know or what the GTc cars used as well. Havnt dug that much more on the intake as to why there is still two different models on the bottom. I love to learn these things and use the best of everything on my build
Well my friend set me my part. And behold a pur piece of custom coolness. Toped it off with some Mettec titanium screws. Less weight bye over half. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
you have certainly put a ton of effort into that car not sure I see the value of the carbon fiber panel cover, but it is nice looking to what vehicle does the red front panel you were repairing?
Its hard to justify a panel yes . But I geek out on stuff like that and its half the weight. I'm trying to get this car in the 2700 range. But still have full functionality. And yes I repaired my cs bumper for my car.
Scored the ubber rair CS panels. Course nothing is ever a bolt on but I got this. Need the CS upper trim piece which will guide me to the correct place for the upper holes. But happy so far to get these parts. . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Love the CF you got made... You need to make these side panels next from non glossy matt CF with possibly a coating of ceramic if heat becomes an issue... [emoji6] Sent from my CPH2145 using Tapatalk
