I've always loved your car. I love how modding a 360 is so different from the way people mod other cars. The few of us that mod 360s tend to take our vision of what a challenge stradale is and reinvent it. We all come up with different results of what that more raw, more engaging 360 is. Your level of detail to that vision is truly incredible. While a lot of us try to cut costs and inevitably corners to achieve that result, you do not. Keep up the amazing progress!
Doing some more magic later. More tweaks. 2 years with it and love it. Can't wait for the new update. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ooh you did the no carpet look. ...nice! Removing the residue from the sound deadening and prepping for paint was such a pain in the ass. Love the new deck lid too.
Trev is do more magic. I have been using the software for over 2 years. (Seems like forever) . Just letting the master wizard look it over and make some new tweaks.
I would do EAG over that. But really I'm a weird one and love my F1. If I need my 3 pedal fix ill break out the 512tr
I don't know..the Dr.S conversation is closer to OEM specs. I had EAG do mine and I'll tell you, it does not feel like a factory gated car when driving it. IF I could do it over again it would be Dr.S conversion. I'll have a full write up once im done with what im doing to my car.
I'm curious why you would choose them over Dr. S with your knowledge of mechanics and this platform. Not looking to hijack the thread and start a debate on it as there are other threads for that, but I'm genuinely curious what your reasoning is.
I think eag had the market cornered and there Ludacris prices!!! the new contender has a much lower price and I'm sure there making money on it.i wouldn't be surprised if eag price drops drastically. Sent from my SM-G996U1 using Tapatalk
I have a good source with eag. And not saying 1 is better or the other on this debate. This is me saying I like snap-on better then matco. That's it.
Well like Imahorse says I don't want to highjack your awesome thread but since your asking, One of my previous cars was a factory gated 360 but I sold it and bought a F430 to convert it to a 6 speed. EAG was really the only option then and they had done 100+ at the time. Anyways, the moment I got the car back I was like man this feels way stiffer and shifter felt nothing like my 360. The shifter was way to stiff going side to side and very notchy and the push down on the reverse was too hard. So initially I just thought I had to break it in....but was told by EAG that they made it that way and that after driving this one that the OEM ones would feel too soft and that this was better. Im not a race car driver but on my OEM 360 I could easily into any gear and just play with the shifts, it felt like butter but this is way to stuff and sometimes it just takes a 2nd/3rd try to get it into gear. This is totally different than a Factory feel. The gearbox controls lever(the stick) on these are not centered and so it grinds to the left side of the select plate(shift plate) slots going in on 1,2,3,4th and going into 3rd it 70% of the time catches/hits the 3rd gear plate and can't go into the 3rd gear seamlessly. 2. My biggest complaint is it doesn't click clack at every gear. Like it doesn't hit metal to metal, I mean when the metal shifter hits the metal gated selector plate and get that metal to metal clacks at the end points on every gear.....you don't get the sounds. I get zero sounds..the only metal sound I get is going from 2nd to 3rd and thats only because it catches on the 3rd gear plate. I just thought maybe this was normal on the 430 but no its the whole conversion. And it has become clear why as Im starting to figure out with the help of someone why Im not getting the full metal to metal click clacks at every gear. The shift throws falls too short that it can't hit metal to metal even if I force it. If you look on youtube and watch any random factory gated cars you head it hitting metal to metal when it goes into gear......now if you watch most EAG videos you can not hear the hits. Look I think EAG did ok with there custom billet made parts....especially since you can't buy these parts any maybe there are more reliable, but these custom parts will differ from the Factory spec.....im not saying Dr's is 100% factory but dude its close. Also I don't see any factory shift towers or actuators failing so reliably isnt really an issue. Also I like you am not a afraid to MOD Ferraris, im far from a purest but the factory Gated experience is missing with the EAG unit...here was my 360 Again Im not trying to debate...these are just the problems im having... I will have a full write up as soon as I fix my problems. Both POV both conversions you can clearly hear the difference. and the CS was a louder car. heres the famous CS conversion using Factory parts heres EAG conversion Image Unavailable, Please Login
YES YES! I used that...Randy ..those samples helped with everything...I still have those samples! Thank you!
Unless I'm crazy which I probably am. I think the sound is the same. Doesn't help that the car is so freaking loud
Fantastic, with that info I'm going to see if I can find a set of the updated redtops and put them on my 99.
