Was looking at cleaning some of the rubber seals on the top. Is it OK to open the roof partially to do this, or is there a specific procedure I need to keep in mind...

You can open the roof partially and then clean the seals. I do this all the time when I wash my 458 Spider.

This may be obvious, but I start the car to open and close my roof as it is a large drain on the battery.

Thanks. I did just that a couple hours ago, and in the manual they do mention that stopping the roof mechanism partially, it's best practice to cycle it to completion. Top cavity was pretty clean and I could see the tube on the hinges.

Good tip on the engine running while doing the roof operations. Manual doesn't mention this but dealership recommended it this way too.

After cleaning the seals use something like Nextzett gummi pflege as a protectant. Good for door seals too.
