The rear of my 308 gets very dirty from exhaust etc. and I have not found a good way to clean around the cavallino nor the 308 emblem.

What is the best way to get in between and inside the 308/GTS lettering? What is the best way to clean and polish next to the cavallino?

You have several choices Q tips with car wash solution and use them to wax the area. Groits garage sells foam q tips which I have used.

Q-tips work in some areas but the area around the horses mane are more difficult. I am thinking a soft toothbrush may work.

Just thinking out loud (if you can do that on the internet) how difficult is it to remove the emblem and then put it back on?

I was thinking of that too. It may be the best and simplest choice. I will have to take a look.

Are they willing to sell any that you haven't used? ;)

No 308 here, but I've used those q-tips, toothbrushes, and horsehair brushes for such things.

On my 308 I remove the emblems and license plate when I wax.

I have actualy replaced the emblems since I bought the car, there are very easy to remove and there are reasonably priced at Black Barts Emporium.

when I worked detailing, we used painters grade tape & paper to mask off those spots and avoid wax residue build up
if you do have stubborn spots, there are liquids for doing that, and use with the aforementioned q-tips, IIRC was a mild alcohol (paint safe) that we had, but check the store for the right product

I use a wooden cooking skewer covered with a micro-fiber towel to clean the dried wax out of hard to reach places. The paint is harder than the wood so if you are gentle with the application, it will not be damaged by this. Tooth brush is also a good option.

    Best of luck,
