    I've recently puchased a 04/360 spider. I'd like to clean inside the convertible top storage well by stopping the closing off the top mid-travel. The manual states that the hydrolic sensors "could" freeze up if the top is left in this position for more than "3 minutes"...I dont want to have trouble... any info would be grand

    We do it all the time for service work. Stop the top at the point the where the lid is at its highest point and the base of the convertible top is sticking straight up. You will need another person to stand next to it to catch the boot lid. After you stop the top the lid will begin to drop in just a couple of seconds from loss of hydraulic pressure. You will need a stick of some kind to support it. When you are done just remove the stick, let the boot lid down, turn the key back on and complete the opening or closing sequence.
