Ok guys, who has the best way to get the strakes clean? I mean really deep down in the wells by the radiators. All those little nooks and crannies. I've been using a micro fiber mitt and just working it in and around as best I can but my hand is just too big to get all the way in (did I just say that?:) Anyway, I'd love to hear some feedback about how all you guys are doing this. Thaks for any help!

    Dear Ferraristi,

What I do is to use a very wet soapy mit. Since dirt builds up near the rad, you want allot of water so the dirt doesn't' scratch the paint.

Best thing to do is open the door and work the mit from the large open areas near the door latch. Just soap it up and close the door. Now rinse out while the door is closed. I do the same for the door side of the strakes.

.....I can hear the "ahhhh...didn't think of that" . Well it took me a couple of years to figure that one. :D

To add what our friend Shamile suggests, I do the strakes and rad inlets FIRST with a different mit/sponge than I use on the rest of the car. This way when I open the doors to get into my girls nether regions, I don't have to worry about water dripping into/onto the seats. etc. Then I do the wheels with the same soapy solution and sponge/mit. Get fresh soapy water and a clean sponge and do the rest of the car. This is what I have found works for me.

Regardless, drive it often and enjoy it. That way you get more practice to hone your cleaning skills:)

Yes, opening the doors and cleaning the strakes first is what I do now. It's just very difficult to get all the way down by the radiators with my buff girly man arms! LOL I thought about rigging up some kind of pole with a small micro fiber mitt on the end. The search continues. Thanks again for all your input!
